I’m familiar with most of these tools, but they lack integration and of course ease of use.
This is exactly why we started PeerPort.us (www.peerport.us), to provide virtual teams (which includes remote workers) with integrated tools (unlimited audio and web conferencing, document storage, action item tracking, messaging and calendaring) in an SaaS environment that requires little or no training.
Our customers are using it for distributed sales teams, business partner channels, virtual project teams, supplier networks and customer interaction.

Thanks for sharing these resources.
One of the other things we see a strong need for in virtual collaboration (something my company does a lot of) is a way to easily manage projects and tasks across virtual teams.
We wanted a solution that wasn’t too complex for normal people (non-techies) to use, and wound up developing our own (ClientSpot) which is now in it’s second year, and helping lots of mostly entrepreneurial customers to collaborate on projects.
]]>Thanks for the tips on the other tools you use and the link to your blog. I will definitely check them out!
]]>Thanks for this really useful list. Quite a few I’d heard of (and use) but some I haven’t and will check out (Teamviewer, DimDim, Read The Words).
I also agree that Twitter is fast becoming my main way of finding out remote working tips. I write a blog about RW and related technologies so it’s great to be able to ‘read people’s thoughts’!
I also use Yammer for internal tweeting, Google reader as my RSS reader and Tripit for recording where I’m going.
